Jamaica : an awesome experience - I spent New Year at the Geejam Hotel and Studios near Port Antonio and had an amazing time. Had lunch with the widow of Errol Flynn most days. I loved Frenchman's Cove and the infamous blue lagoon and its very laid-back charm. A quintessential experience is to raft the Rio Grande through the Blue Mountains, stopping off at waterfalls and having picnics of barbecued fish. The island is so chilled - the weather is great, the beaches are stunning, the food is delicious - the whole vibe is so contagious and can revive even its most weary visitor. The stigma of violence means that, unfortunately, only the intrepid holiday maker is there. This should not be the case.
